Usage advices
Instructions for use of your padel racquet safety strap
Our BABOLAT padel racquets are fitted with a safety strap which is standardised and compulsory according to the regulations of the International Padel Federation.
Its role is to prevent a potential incident by holding the racquet should it involuntarily slip out of the player’s hand.
The safety strap was designed exclusively for this function. Any other use, such as repeatedly dropping the racquet voluntarily during a rally, is likely to cause the premature deterioration of the strap which could lead to its separation from the handle.
Storage and maintenance instructions for your BABOLAT padel racquet
To ensure the longevity of your padel racquet and the preservation of its properties, we recommend to:
- Store it in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and intense heat;
- Do not expose your rack to major temperature changes;
- Maintain it regularly, in particular by drying it carefully after a game if is damp before storing it in a protective cover.
LIGHTNESS
Our research into the game revealed that lightness is a key advantage, and we have used this knowledge to create specially tailored racquets. Thanks to its unique construction, combining the exclusive MICROPERF technology with a thickness of just 36 mm, this racquet is one of the lightest we have ever developed. Its extreme lightness makes it easier for you to master shots in any situation, improving every aspect of your game.
DYNAMIC POWER
Wanting to play with a carbon racket but you always feel it too stiff? Don't get to optimize carbon's explosiveness? To help you, we've developed this racket with the unique CARBON FLEX technology. Try it and you will discover a brand new feeling called dynamic power. Now you also have access to the power of the carbon.
COMFORT
Playing comfort is a key consideration when choosing a racquet. To ensure that you can enjoy playing as often as you want, we developed this racquet using extremely lightweight and soft materials, which help to reduce arm fatigue for increased endurance and comfort.
SMART BUTTCAP
A versatile system that allows players to customize strap size or completely remove the wrist strap.
MICROPERF
An innovative technology patented by Babolat featuring micro-perforations on the surface of the racquet creates a lighter racquet and a larger sweet spot.
3D SPIN
Raised patterns on the racquet surface allows you to hit with more spin.
Padel rackets are built to take a beating, but a little care doubles their lifespan. Fit an overgrip — your first defence against sweat and wear — and replace it every 8–12 sessions. Use a protective edge guard if you play close to the walls.
Never leave your racket in a hot car or direct sun: heat softens the core and can delaminate the carbon face. Store it flat in a thermal racket bag and wipe the face with a soft, damp cloth — no solvents. (Padel rackets are solid, so there's no stringing.)

Common questions.
Is this right for an intermediate player?
It can be, but it rewards swing speed. If you're a solid intermediate (consistent volleys, comfortable bandejas) you'll love the pop. Early intermediate? Look at a more forgiving control frame while you build technique.
What grip size should I order?
For most adult players in India, L2 (Standard) is the right call. Smaller hands or those who layer two overgrips should pick L1. When in doubt, go smaller — you can always add an overgrip to thicken.
How long will it last?
With normal recreational play (2–3 sessions/week), expect 12–18 months before performance noticeably drops. Apply a frame protector from day one and replace the overgrip every 8–12 sessions.
Do you ship the original box and warranty?
Always. Every racket ships in sealed original packaging with the manufacturer warranty card. We're an authorized distributor — your warranty is honored with us and the brand directly.
Can I return it if it's not the right fit?
Yes — 7-day return window from delivery, as long as the racket is unused and in original packaging. Once played with we can't take it back, but reach out and we'll help you trade up.
